I specialize in working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD/trauma, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, adjustment issues, and those who struggle with social/relationship challenges. In my 34 years as a Limited License Psychologist, I have found the client-therapist relationship is fundamental to a meaningful therapeutic process. I strive to create an emotionally enriching, culturally sensitive, and supportive telehealth environment for all my clients. My approach to psychotherapy integrates non-judgmental, evidence-based and goal-oriented, psychological modalities and strategies aimed at client growth.
I place emphasis on helping clients discover their personal strengths and assisting them in using these strengths to manage life challenges. I assist my clients in building a strategy toolkit that can be used to reinforce and build skills outside of therapy. I also help clients challenge faulty thinking that has led to negative emotions and behavior.
Starting therapy can be filled with uncertainty and nervousness. During the first session I help ease that by discussing the therapy process and addressing questions clients may have about therapy. I also offer a free consultation that provides some of that information as well. Making the decision to begin therapy says, “I care about me and my happiness.”
